The Art of loving. PART 2: universal love

The earth is what we all have in common. She unites us. She birthed us. She nurtures us. She provides for us. She feeds us. She shelters us. She loves us.

And in return – what do we do?

Human kind is not the most important being on earth, and yet, we behave as if we would be superior, the gods of the universe & have much significance in the sense of our own personal desires. In fact, we, the human race is a by-product of evolution. It’s the same with food, it’s a by-product. First came the soil, without soil – no food. It’s the same with us, first came the universe, the cosmos, the planets, the sun, the moon, the stars, the solar system, animals, and plants.  And, eventually it will exist billions of years after us.

That means to really connect with life itself and to survive as a race it must be a win- win situation, instead of a personal gain, it’s a give & take, a vivid cycle and flow. For that to happen, our choices in life matter.

Do you know the problem of human kind?

We consistently try to solve symptoms, instead of healing the cause. We can observe that in any area of our life’s – happiness, love, sickness, environmental issues, ect.

The innovation of plastic was originally a brilliant idea, to make things more sustainable from organic material until it got synthesized and misused to produce it cheaper and ultimately to gain profit. And that was the start of becoming our own victim in the matters of self-destruction.

But why would we care?

We are dying anyway one day, our physically body will be gone. So why taking responsibility, mindful thoughts & actions about how our choices today have an implicit effect on every living being who is right now next to us and comes after us – our kids, neighbour, the ocean, nature, animals?

Surely, that’s one way to look at it, and no one has the right to judge this opinion. But its certainly not mine. I don’t know why you care or if you care at all, but I know why I do. Why I decided to act consciously against environmental pollution & not leaning back and watch us drowning?

Because I literally feel the untold pain, the suffering, the damage, how our mother earth is crying for help, for us to wake up, not only in the short term. Have you ever stopped & listened to her whisper?

The human race is going to mutate, in natural evolution, as we did since existence, we not going to stop that. But as long as I am able to influence the direction to a fruitful & positive loving creation, I’ll do whatever is in my strength to achieve that.

Despite that – I love to listen to the sound of the waves of the ocean, the singing wisdom of the wales, to swim in clear blue water, feel velvet leaves caressing my skin when I lay in the dark green grass, to watch aromatic flowers bloom, breathe fresh cooling air in my lungs when I wake up in the morning, walk barefoot in the muddy earth, hide my toes in warm crystal shimmering sand. I like watching birds showing off their spectacular flying skills in the light blue sky & experiencing the enchanting colours of nature’s magic everywhere. I enjoy the smell of honey collected from the bees. And I honour my soul, mind & body so much that I want to feed & treat it the best way it deserves.

Imagine you are going to a restaurant and order a delicious seaweed salad, you are fancying it the whole week, because it’s your favourite meal & restaurant, it’s mouth-watering… mmmmhhh….and you are very hungry. The waiter comes back with a full plate, you lustfully dive into the seaweed salad, chew on it and the moment you want to swallow the chunk you realize something is wrong. The seaweed is so hard & tasteless today, so you spit it out on the plate and call the waiter. You ask him what happens to the usually so delicious and nutritious seaweed? His answer, sorry, we could not get any seaweed the last week, because the ocean is full of plastic which diminishes the growth of healthy seaweed. We only have plastic available from now on. This is how a sea turtle must feel on a daily basis. And it could happen to us sooner than later, the only difference, we can still eat other foods, but for the turtle it is essential.

What if our soul comes back one day, in a new body and has to deal and live with the chaos we create now?

Until the year 2050 its predicted that the ocean will contain more plastic than fish. Means if there would be no clear blue healthy water from the ocean & rivers, it means no healthy fresh green plants and veggies, hence less or no food for us. We need to understand what tremendous magnitude of continuous destruction the usage of plastic products has. We deceive ourselves if we think that we have environmental pollution under control. Let’s be honest – we messed up. And it is ok to mess up sometimes when we take accountability to turn the rudder around and correct the mistake.

So, what is the solution?

It’s a two-way street. From one side, to clean the earth & ocean of unrecycled plastic we have to pick up our mess and there are a few organisations out there who are leading the movement successfully. We have to do it manually as long as no other solutions is in place, but let’s be real, it is not fast enough. As we are moving into an era of AI, I wonder why no one yet has developed a robot to pick the trash out of the ocean and compress or shred it – that’s where we could really need it. Although there are first solutions out there who are doing a great job, a proper mass collecting solution to speed up the process seems not yet innovated. So, it takes time.

But still, what then when we cleaned the ocean? What are we going to do with the garbage mountains? – finding proper and creative recycling options which are slowly but steady coming to fruition in form of astonishing new ideas. But are these in mass production and available for all in society yet?

That’s why it is a two-way street to reverse damage.

The real change happens when we heal the cause. Which is the ridiculous amount of synthetic plastic production. Reduced plastic production equals reduced plastic pollution.

We as humans are not the most important beings on earth, but each of us while being here in this context of life itself plays a huge important role. Don’t underestimate the power of each single one of us. It’s up to us individually how aware & concerned we are with that matter & what we do about it. Our choices matter. If we don’t buy single used products wrapped or stored in plastic anymore and instead opt for alternative solutions like paper and glass, use reusable & recyclable bags and products the demand for plastic would decrease and has the effect on the industry to stop producing and switch to alternative solutions.

The world belongs to the individual, the tribes, the communities – not like falsely presumed to governments and constitutions which try to lock us into a system to keep us dumb & small like lemmings.

The consequence of us doing nothing, is to forfeit the beauty of life in and around us, several species, animals, plants & humans might not survive as long as intended, because we exterminate ourselves and others.

Yes, each of us is important enough to make a change as long as we are here. To give back what is given to us. A vivid cycle & flow can only subsist with the willingness of giving & receiving, otherwise the connection is broken. And it all starts with each of us.

Yes, magic occurs. All the time. That’s how powerful the individual is. It starts with us and our attitude towards a matter, why we want to do something – but it takes lots & lots of people, standing shoulder to shoulder to have a real impact.

The question is, how much universal love do we feel inside of ourselves and what are we contributing from this moment to show this love and appreciation towards planet earth to leave a legacy we can be proud of?
